This year marks Long Shadows 20th vintage, and to celebrate they are offering a tasting of all of their top-rated current releases (see below) along with a special tasting demonstration of a take-home, 4-stem set of Riedel’s most distinctive and elegant ‘Veloce’ varietal-specific wine glasses (Reg retail $158). This event is being held at Beacon Hill Catering & Events in northwest Spokane – address below.

LONG SHADOWS WINES

At its inception, Long Shadows brought seven highly acclaimed vintners from the major wine regions of the world to Washington State. Each vintner committed to crafting wines from Washington fruit into a style reflective of their own history and tradition that have continued to maintain world-class status. Under the steady hand of resident winemaker Gilles Nicault, Long Shadows continues producing those unique wines inspired by this laudatory team of highly acclaimed winemakers.

With each ticket purchased you’ll receive: a presentation and sensory demonstration of the effects of this personal set of Riedel’s NEW ‘Veloce’ varietal-specific Tasting Glassware (Retail Value $158.00). One stem each for Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

THE EVENING AGENDA

• The stemware presentation and demonstration begins precisely at 5:00PM. (Please arrive by 4:45 latest) Does your glass really affect your wine experience? Join us as we partner with Riedel Crystal for a fascinating sensory experience, demonstrating how the size and shape of your wine glass significantly impacts how different varietals taste. Featuring wines from Long Shadows, Riedel Ambassador MariBeth Baumberger will lead you through this unique seminar and discuss the design and engineering that goes into every glass. PLUS, You’ll Take Home a 4-Glass Set!

• Long Shadows Winery President & CEO Dane Narbaitz will taste with you through four Long Shadows wines to demonstrate how your Riedel ‘Veloce’ Glassware will enhance your wine tasting experience. After the glassware demonstration join Dane and Vino! downstairs to mix & mingle while tasting the entire Long Shadows line up including a few library selections, and enjoying heavy hors d’oeuvres.
